What happens in Vegas…

It has been a while!

And I am sorry about that, but I have the perfect excuse: Ive been doing Hollywood and Vegas baby!

What a week, what a week.. Let me tell you a little bit about my Hollywood-nightlife experience.

First of all – it sucks (excuse my language) that it is closing at 2 am!

Tao Beach

Other then that I really don’t have anything to complain about – I loved L.A and even tough we heard that you have to stand in line to get in, pay for the entrance and don’t get a table in the VIP section as we are used to in NYC, we managed to do all of these things! The trick? Act like  you are really important with the highest self esteem and harmless flirting with the bouncer seems to be the answer!

We were first at a restaurant/lounge called Bar Marmont which apparently was a celeb-spot. We were told Leo DiCaprio himself was there the night before with a little to much to drink.. Hey, I don’t judge. Its a nice place to grab a drink and hang out before you go out!

Second place was Highbar which had the feeling of a late pool party on a hotel rooftop. I had an awesome time there!

Last we went to Boulevard 3 and other than the fact that I had a stalker that followed me around all night (I really mean all night) it was a cool club with a huge dance floor inside. They had some really good dancers performing to some good house and RnB music.

Encore

Vegas!

There is no way I can sit here and try to explain what Vegas is all about because it would just not be fair. It’s cooler and more fun than words can describe!

It’s an entire fake city, built for making people drunk so that they gamble more and loose more money. It’s the only city in the U.S where you can drink alcohol out on the streets – how about that! All you do all day long is hanging out at pool parties and then you move on and go clubbing all night long.. Did I say I loved it..?

Tao Beach with it’s cool pool parties, awesome DJ and sexy bodies to stare at is the place to go during the days. It is also good at night as a nightclub acctually.

If you want to go to a place that will dazzle you, go to Encore at the Wynn hotel. It is so beautiful. That night when we were there we got to party with Michael Phelps at the table. Yum.

I never had as much fun as I had in Las Vegas and as know we understand the meaning of “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” because you don’t remember anything since you’re drunk all the time! :)

Aug 27th Spotlight – Angelina DelCarmen

Fridays at 9pm ET

‘ROCK CHICKS LIVE’ – Starring: Frankie Russo

Rock Chicks: Christie Walsh, Gloria Manzoni, and Julie Hanus.

Tonight’s Spotlight Artist: Angelina DelCarmen

Angelina DelCarmen is lead singer of the New York City based rock band Charetta. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, she has spent the past few years in New York City pursuing opportunities as an actress, model & vocalist. She discovered members of Charetta in 2007, while looking for a guitarist to collaborate with. After hearing Pablo LaFrossia’s guitar riffs from a myspace classified ad, she felt an immediate musical connection. Together they began writing together and began to create songs such as “Too Far in” and “Runs in the Blood.” Her vocal style quickly developed an in your face edge, mixed with soft, tender moments. Writing music has enabled her to express messages to herself and enemies as well – often finding ways to understand both a little more.

Angelina has had 10 years of vocal training in opera and musical theatre. She holds a BFA degree in performance theatre from Southwest Missouri State University. Her rock vocals are self-taught. Some of her influences include singers such as Alanis Morrisette, Lisa Loeb, Etta James and Alicia Keys. Some of her other musical influences are Tool, Muse, Chevelle and Deftones.

CHARETTA is a female-fronted alternative rock band from New York City. Formed in 2007, their powerful live shows and unique musical style have made them a fan favorite in the New York music scene. Their overall sound can be described as groove and bottom-heavy, blending passion and aggression with hook-driven melodies. They have been compared to bands such as Chevelle, Deftones, Evanescence, Dark New Day & Sevendust, yet their style is extremely original and distinct.

CHARETTA is currently performing regionally in support of their debut album “Defying The Inevitable”, released in July 2009. The album was produced by Brett Hestla – best known for his work with Dark New Day (vocals), Creed (bass) & Framing Hanley (producer). It is currently available for sale on the band’s website charetta.com, as well as from other music retailers such as CD Baby, Amazon and iTunes. The band has tentative plans to return to the recording studio in early 2011.

CHARETTA has performed as a showcase artist at the Florida Music Festival in Orlando, FL and also as an opening act for touring bands such as Saliva, Soil & Smile Empty Soul. They regularly perform at major venues in the New York area such as Gramercy Theater, Highline Ballroom & The Crazy Donkey. Their music video “Runs in the Blood” will be featured in an upcoming independent film release “5th of a Degree” as well as an upcoming episode of The Mun2 Look on Mun2.

With songs like “On The Line” and “So Convincing”, CHARETTA’s music appeals to rock fans and non-rock fans alike.

Trashy vs. Classy

Lady G

Lady G - Tha G-Spot

I always say if you got it, flaunt it. BUT…don’t over expose it. If you got nice boobs and a big ass, good for you. That doesn’t mean you have to have em out all the time. Of course guys love to look, but they want a girl that can still be sexy without showing too much skin. It’s called classy, maybe you’ve heard of it. And fellas don’t think you’re getting away on this topic either. If you work out and your body’s sexy, then that’s just wonderful. BUT…I know I’m not the only woman that hates guys who always walk around without a shirt on like all they own is pants. Don’t be an attention whore because you’re gonna attract the wrong kind of attention. Just a thought. Till next time, you’ve just hit the G-Spot. ; )
